TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 9, 2017) - “We’re encouraged by the renewed sense of cooperation on the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge among state and federal agencies,” said Celeste De Palma, Audubon Florida Everglades Policy Associate. “Just a year ago, the future of this critical Refuge was in doubt. The new agreement advanced today brings the right partners together to focus on managing this irreplaceable resource for the benefit of wildlife and the enjoyment of Floridians and visitors. Audubon applauds preserving the long-standing relationship between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the South Florida Water Management District, which is essential for our shared goal of restoring America's Everglades.”
