Save the Date! Kick off the TogetherGreen Volunteer Days with Audubon Center for Birds of Prey on Sunday September 28!
TogetherGreen is a dynamic and innovative Audubon program funded by Toyota that aims to provide inspiration, leadership and opportunities that inspire people everywhere to take action at home, in their communities and beyond to improve the health of our environment. From June 2008 through May 2009 Audubon Center for Birds of Prey will be recruiting new folks and engaging current volunteers to participate in special projects designed to improve local urban bird habitats. Projects will include building and monitoring nest boxes, cleaning the shoreline around Lake Sybelia and removing invasive, nonnative plants from our wetland. A complete schedule for events will be available soon. Let’s work together to build community—bring your neighbors and friends and gain the experience and thrill of volunteering for an important program! To get involved in these projects contact Lynne at 407-644-0190.

Lake Sybelia Canoe Clean-up! Join Eco-Action and Audubon Center for Birds of Prey as we troll the shorelines and lakefront to help clear waste from Lake Sybelia. The removal of debris and trash improves the health of wildlife that depend on the lake for food and shelter, in addition to increasing the water quality of the lake. Join us for an afternoon of clean up and fun and get involved in conservation! To volunteer for this event please contact Lynne at 407-644-0190.
