In a major turn of events, both Sen. John Thrasher (R-St. Augustine), and Rep. Pat Rooney(R-Palm Beach Gardens) have decided to withdraw their bills that would have put golf courses inside some of our most beloved state parks.

Congratulations are in order for Audubon supporters who worked so hard make their opinions known about the importance of this issue. We have received over 150 comments on our blog andFacebook Page from people across the state who posted about how the proposed golf courses would affect them and their communities.
