Audubon Florida is pleased to announce that a much-needed amendment to Representative Dana Young's HB 639 - Reclaimed Water was voted on and approved in today's State Affairs Subcommittee of the Florida House of Representatives. Our sincere thanks go to sponsor Representative Young for working with the Audubon Florida team and a coalition of environmental groups to ensure that our state's water policy is not threatened.

In support of this amendment,Audubon's Mary Jean Yon testified in committee, saying, "We very much appreciate the important role that reclaimed water plays in our state's water supply and we commend Rep. Young for preserving the integrity of all 'water' as this bill moves forward."
