On Wednesday, Jan 19, Citrus County Audubon Society honored (by way of donation) 4 organizations that carry out the mission of the Chapter. Included in these was Audubon of Florida's Ahhochee Hill Manager Christie Anderberg who received a gift of $250.

At the ceremony, Ginger Privat, Citrus County Audubon's Education Chairperson remarked, "Ahhochee Hill is a fantastic area that welcomes the public for bird walks, for special events like last winter’s eagle release, and helps all comers to make the connections between us and our environment."

Over 60 members and visitor turnout for the program of the evening, Bob Montanero's presentation called Critters, Cows and Cowboys.
