Budgets for Everglades, Florida Forever and Public Land Management 

  • Everglades funding is provided in the House proposed budget at $26 million, the Senate provides no funds.  Neither body funds Florida Forever, and both trim back funding for public land management. The Senate anticipates making some funds available for Florida Forever by surplus of public lands.

  • Audubon has advocated for $50 million for the Everglades and for a base level of funding for Florida Forever.
