Important Federal Post Filled by Audubon’s Friend in Everglades Restoration

President Obama’s Administration has made a great appointment for Everglades restoration!  Colonel Terrence “Rock” Salt has been has been appointed as Principle Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASA) for Civil Works and will be acting ASA, until that post is filled.

Rock has been a friend to Audubon as he has been a leading force in Everglades restoration for 15 years.  First, Rock served as USACE District Commander of Jacksonville, then he was with the Department of the Interior as Director of the Task Force, and finally, Senior Everglades Advisory to the Secretary of the Interior. This is fantastic news for Audubon’s efforts to advance Everglades restoration with the federal partners.

The Miami Herald reports on this, as does the Palm Beach Post.
