TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 23, 2017) – Responding to the Governor and Cabinet’s approval today of Noah Valenstein as Secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Audubon’s executive director, Eric Draper, called the new secretary the kind of person that gets people together to solve problems.

“Florida needs good environmental leadership,” said Draper. “Noah’s appointment should mean good things for our water and land. We hope he will work with the Governor, Cabinet, and Legislature to refocus DEP on solving Florida’s water challenges.”
