Ridge Audubon Center
Ridge Audubon Center and museum is located on the Lake Wales Ridge in Babson Park. Our mission statement is "to promote an understanding and interest in wildlife and the environment that supports it and to further the cause of conservation of natural resources with emphasis on the Lake Wales Ridge." Our nature trail winds through longleaf pine and turkey oak/scrub oak habitat. The longleaf pine forest is now in danger of disappearing. Fortunately, we have been able to preserve a portion of this habitat for visitors to experience and learn from.
