Alachua Audubon on Fire!

Although some folks are gathering petition signatures as individuals, since the beginning of the Florida Water and Land Legacy campaign, Alachua Audubon members have been working as a team growing more powerful by the week. From the public library, to the head of a popular La Chua hiking trail, to the annual Wetlands Solutions Sunday night BBQ, the synergy continues to grow!

Last weekend several members attended a 2 day craft fair gathering over 240 signatures. Special recognition goes to Helen Warren, Emily Schwartz, Debra Segal, and friends Cathy Fanning, Callie Williams and her two sons and Carol Lippincott who are also gathering on behalf of the chapter.

And that’s not all! Audubon members and chapters are achieving stardom all around the state!

Top 10 individuals  during weeks 7-8:

  • Bill Fairbank of Venice Area Audubon
  • David Hartgrove of Halifax River Audubon
  • Judy Orcutt of Pelican Island Audubon
