Celebrate your love for birds and nature by participating in the Audubon Florida Birdathon! This year we’re expanding the Birdathon to cover one whole week. Pick any 24-hour period within the week of April 8 - 14. By joining us, you’ll help raise much-needed funds to protect birds and the places they need, while taking part in one of America’s most popular—and growing—pastimes.

There’s no better time for watching (and counting) birds than spring. That’s when migratory species, decked out in brilliant breeding plumage, return to their nesting grounds—and even year-round resident species sport their brightest feathers. So mark your calendar, get out your binoculars, load the Audubon app on your phone, and get ready for the Audubon Florida Birdathon.
You can participate in one of three ways – and for those who are ambitious, you can do all three!
1) Register yourself as a participant and invite your friends, family, and network to support your efforts to see as many as bird species as you can during a 24-hour period between April 8-April 14.
2) Create or join a team!
3) Support a staff member or friend in their efforts by donating to their page.
Consider encouraging your friends, family, and co-workers to form a team with you, so you all can enjoy the beauty of nature. But whether you’re a team of ten or one, and whether you’re a casual or committed birder, you’ll be making a difference for birds and people.
