Broward County Audubon Wrapped Up TogetherGreen Volunteer Days Activities

Broward County Audubon had a wonderful sixth (of six) volunteer day as part of their partnering with TogetherGreen and Kids Ecology at John U. Lloyd State Park over the weekend. As part of the Earth Day themed volunteer effort, more than 200 volunteers planted 1,200 mangroves, 1,000 sea oats and 16 sea grape trees--coastal vegetation that prevents erosion and provides wildlife habitat. There was truly a remarkable turnout. Read more about the event at the Sun Sentinel and watch a short clip highlighting Kids Ecology, Broward Audubon and all of the volunteers' efforts.
