Last week, hundreds of your emails succeeded in the removal of harmful language from HB 991 which would have limited the ability of ordinary citizens to challenge bad environmental permit decisions.

Today, despite your calls to protect Florida's environment, Sen. Mike Bennett put the bad language on his own bill, SB 1382, over the objections of Sens. Nan Rich (D-Sunrise) and Paula Dockery (R-Lakeland). Bennett cited encouragement for this amendment originating with the Department of Environmental Protection.
