FSU-Sponsored Oil Drilling Forum Tonight in Tallahassee

The forum will focus on the proposal to open the shores of Florida to offshore drilling. Gannett Florida’s Capitol News Editor, Paul Flemming, will be the forum’s moderator. The panelists will include proponents of the proposal: David Rancourt of Southern Strategy Group; Terry Cunningham of Florida Grassroots Energy Forum; Hank Fishkind of Fishkind and Associates, and opponents of the proposal: Eric Draper of the Audubon Society; Kenneth Welch, the Pinellas County Commissioner; and David McLain, Apalachicola Bay and Riverkeeper. Also in attendance will be Sen. Mike Haridopolos (R-Merritt Island), and Rep. Dean Cannon (R-Winter Park).
