This afternoon at an event at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in southwest Florida, Governor Charlie Crist announced the inclusion of $50M for continuation of the Florida Forever program, and another $50M for Everglades Restoration. In this tough budget year, Governor Crist's leadership on this issue is even more crucial if these essential programs are to survive the competition for Florida's limited budget dollars.
