How would you like to add flocks of life birds to your list and help Florida Audubon’s Ahhochee Hill Wildlife Sanctuary?
Join Audubon's Christie Anderberg on an exciting 9-day trip to some of the best birding spots in Costa Rica and boost your life list.
A dozen new hummingbirds? Check. Toucans? Check. Trogans, Motmots and Scarlet Macaws? Check, check and check!
Christie has taken many groups to Costa Rica over the past twelve years, and still adds to her life list on every visit. “Not that I’m a ‘’lister, but the fabulous colors and variety of bird species found in Costa Rica, makes every bird one you want to see”, says Anderberg. In addition to the nearly 200 species of birds you can expect to see, monkeys, sloths, butterflies, frogs and beautiful scenery. Wonderful food and excellent accommodations round out the experience.
For an abundance of bird species, the group will explore several different habitats over the nine days, including lowlandCaribbeanslopes, Pacific estuaries, and cloud forests of the mountain areas. The group size is limited to 14, in order to provide the best birding experience. Travel by air-conditioned bus and guided by local experts, the race to see nature couldn’t be more enjoyable.
Dates for the upcoming trip are scheduled for April 11-19, prime birding season in Costa Rica. A non-stop flight from Orlando to San Jose gets you on the ground with binoculars in hand by early afternoon on the first day. A portion of the fee for the trip will be donated to Audubon’s Ahhochee Hill Sanctuary.
