Sen. Lee Constantine’s SB 274 on Springs Protection has been scheduled for the Environmental Preservation and Conservation Committee agenda for Tuesday. This bill proposes meaningful improvements for springs water quality and quantity through agricultural best management practices, appropriate land uses, and septic tank regulation, at a modest subset of Florida’s best-known springs.  Please watch this important video summary of Florida’s spring resources and the challenges facing them.
