Tropical Audubon Conservation Workshop Set for Saturday

Help Tropical Audubon Society set its conservation agenda for 2011 at its annual workshop this Saturday at The Deering Estate at 16701 S.W. 72nd Ave., Miami, Florida.

The day begins with a bird walk at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast at 8 a.m. and a jammed packed program. Speakers include Tropical Audubon President, Joe Barros; and Conservation co-chairs, John Ogden and Dennis Olle; Mark Woerner, Chief, Metropolitan Planning Division, Miami-Dade Planning and Zoning; Maria Nardi, Park Systems Planning, Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation; Sarah Bellmund, Ecologist, National Park Service; and Ken Ammon, Deputy Executive Director, Everglades Restoration & Capitol Projects, South Florida Water Management District
