Florida's Environmental Regulatory Commission votes to adopt California's auto-emission standards

In a big win for everybody, and everything in Florida that breathes air, today the Environmental Regulatory Commission voted 6-1 to adopt new emission standards for cars and light trucks based on California's emission standards. As readers of this blog know, Audubon of Florida has been working hard for the adoption of these new standards, which, if ratified by the Florida Legislature in March, will go a long way toward helping reduce the global warming pollution currently spewing from the tailpipes of our vehicles.
