2009 Audubon Birdathon: Pledge Your Support

Friends, it takes more than a few bucks to effectively advocate for conservation.  The combination of a bad economy and a generally unfriendly Florida Legislature make environmental advocacy a tough job.  Nevertheless, Audubon has stepped up its efforts here in Tallahassee.  Julie, Eric and Charles work with our conservation and agency allies to cover the entire range of issues important to protecting natural Florida.  Whether its money for public lands or defending key water policies, we are on the job and on the spot.

We need your help.  Like all non-profits our budget is stretched thin.  Please give us your vote of confidence by pledging to the Birdathon.  Its simple, we count the birds, you pledge to donate a set amount for each species we identify in a single day.  This weekend we will head to the field instead of the Capitol and start counting.  Email us your pledge now, even if it is only a penny, nickel, or dime per species!
