A bankrupt developer and lack of funding for the eagle cam meant we were all going to be in the dark this season. Imagine our surprise when we finally visited the nest site and discovered what this pair had been up to. They abandoned their dead tree, which no longer had any support limbs, and moved to a beautiful live pine--the very same tree that is still housing the cameras! Their impressive new nest is smack on top of the camera array. They managed to do all this and raise two youngsters without the whole world watching!
