Local Governments Join Audubon and Support Reduced Landscape Irrigation

© SFWMD

Audubon continues its support of the South Florida Water Management District’s (SFWMD) proposed two-day-a-week Year-Round Landscape Irrigation Rule.  Reducing landscape irrigation is an easy step we can take to save water for the Everglades and other natural systems throughout Florida.  Due to severe dry weather in recent years, the SFWMD implemented two-day-a-week landscape irrigation restrictions in April 2007.  Now is the time to turn these restrictions into permanent water conservation measures.  Make your voice heard and support the proposed rule by signing Audubon’s petition.
