National Climate Legislation is Good for Jobs and the Economy

An excellent way to stimulate the struggling economy and create jobs is to increase energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy.

Increasing the use of energy saving technologies could save households approximately $750 by 2020 and $3,900 by 2030, according to the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy. Comprehensive climate and clean energy policies could save American consumers and businesses $465 billion annually in 2030, according to a study by the Union of Concerned Scientists.

In Florida, a national renewable energy policy to grow renewable energy production to 25% by 2025 would result in a cumulative savings on electricity and gas bills of $1.770 million, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists.
